Bird flu fears spark legal threat

Villagers opposed to plans for a large free-range poultry farm on their doorsteps say they will go to the High Court in their fight to stop it. Egg producer Kinsale Agriculture wants to house 18,000 chickens at Norduck Farm in Aston Abbotts, Buckinghamshire. The opponents' main concern, which has been discounted by the poultry firm, is the threat of avian flu. Their lawyers have said they will seek a judicial review if Aylesbury Vale Council gives the plan the go-ahead.
