Experts say U.S. bird flu epidemic unlikely

The bird flu is less likely to affect poultry or people than it has in less developed countries even if wild birds infected with the virus migrate to the U.S. Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institute of Health says that the surveillance is going to be so intense that it is unlikely to happen. U.S. poultry famers keep their birds isolated from contact with wild birds and most people have limited contact with poultry or their waste.
