Contingency plan?

Following outbreaks in several states, Nigeria has banned the movement of poultry nationwide and imposed a quarantine on affected farms. A mass cull is under way but reports suggest some poultry keepers have rushed to sell birds before they can be destroyed. Poultry markets have been closed with limited success. The UN's food agency has warned measures to contain the virus are failing. It strongly recommends targeted vaccination in affected areas. International experts have been sent to support local efforts. A public awareness campaign is warning people not to eat sick poultry.
