RI government 'not serious' in battling bird flu

Indonesia is failing to halt the spread of the potentially fatal strain of bird flu due to underfunding and sparse political will, a leading official said Monday.
Indonesia has recorded 37 human H5N1 fatalities out of 49 confirmed cases since July, the world's second highest death toll behind Vietnam, World Health Organization data indicates.
